A school owl is used to send a respond to the owl she received from her Aunt Marie:

Dearest Raegan,

I hope you've settled yourself into Hogwarts and are applying yourself to your studies. You are such a bright and gifted young woman I am sure you'll have no troubles. Of course I am writing you in regards to your Uncle Sinclair. By now you must know what has happened. I am so sorry. I know how fond you have been of him in the past and that you must feel his absence keenly. However, I feel, as does your mother, and your aunt, that it would be in your best interests to keep your distance from him at this time. Not that we believe Sinclair to be a threat to you - but that your reputation might suffer by association.

Remember that Raegan--always remember that your reputation is important not only to yourself but to the family. Study hard, do well, make yourself and the rest of us proud. Don't let yourself be dragged down by your base instincts like your uncle or by your volatile temper.
